On the afternoon of February 27th, 2023, the summary and award ceremony for the 8th Oriental Wealth Cup National College Students' Financial Literacy Improvement Activity, as well as the launch ceremony for the 9th Oriental Wealth Cup National College Students' Financial Literacy Improvement Activity, organized by the Central Youth Development Department of the Communist Youth League and jointly organized by Oriental Wealth Information Co., Ltd. and the National School Communist Youth League Research Center, were grandly held at the South Road Campus of the Central University of Finance and Economics. Fu Zhenbang, Secretary of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, Liang Yong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central University of Finance and Economics, Qishi, Chairman of Dongfang Wealth Information Co., Ltd., and representatives of over 200 award-winning teachers and students from universities across the country attended the ceremony.
The 8th Oriental Wealth Cup National College Student Financial Challenge Contest was launched in April 2022, lasting for over 4 months and attracting over 610,000 college students from more than 2550 universities across the country to participate, with over 6000 students from our university participating. The competition consists of three stages: campus competition, provincial competition, and national competition, resulting in 300 first prize teams, 1000 second prize teams, and 1700 third prize teams. Our university has performed excellently in the national competition, with a total of 73 teams winning, with an award rate of 3.84%, which is higher than the national average. Among them, there are 4 first prize teams, 17 second prize teams, and 52 third prize teams. Our university won both the Best Organization Award and the Best Team Leader Award. Li Bo, the guiding teacher of our college, delivered a speech as the representative of the Outstanding Guiding Teacher Award.
In the preparation process of this competition, our college fully utilized the role of student associations such as the College Student Financial Investment Association, effectively improving the effectiveness of promoting learning through competition. Through online mode, we explained the competition rules and content to students, invited guidance teachers and award-winning team members to provide systematic training and guidance to participating students, laying the foundation for achieving excellent results in the competition.
