For the First Time the School of Finance Won the First Prize of the National College Teacher Teaching Innovation Competition

 From July 26th to 31st, the 2nd National College Teacher Teaching Innovation Competition was held in Xi'an Jiaotong University. The competition is guided by the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and sponsored by the China Higher Education Association. Zhang Teng, the main lecturing teacher of the course Securities Investment of the school of finance, and Professor Shu Jiaxian, a member of the course team, participated in the on-site report and won the first prize of the national competition with excellent results, realizing the breakthrough of our institute in the first prize of national teaching competition.

 The competition lasted for 10 months from the launch of the school competition in October 2021, to the provincial competition from March to May to the national competition in June and July. During the preparation period of the competition, the college set up a special working class led by Dean Wan Guangcai, including course team members, famous teachers, information technology personnel, broadcasting etiquette, etc., to conduct dozens of discussions on teaching achievement reports, teaching videos, teaching innovation design, etc. Academic Affairs Director Jing Tingru and Deputy Director Liao Xinlin organized expert seminars to discuss and polish for many times, and Vice President Zhou Jialai personally attended the seminar for guidance.

 The Teaching Innovation Competition is one of the competitions approved by the Ministry of Education and included in the List of Reserved Projects for Three Evaluation and One Competition of Units Directly under the Ministry of Education, and it is the only teaching competition for college teachers in the current project list. With the theme of promoting teaching innovation and cultivating first-class talents, this year's competition has attracted 18,407 teachers from 1,195 colleges and universities across the country to participate in the provincial competition of the competition, and after selection, a total of 406 courses and 1,462 teachers (including team teachers) were shortlisted for the national competition. After fierce competition, a total of 63 national first prizes, 142 second prizes and 201 third prizes were selected in the competition.

 In recent years, in accordance with the requirements of the construction of new liberal arts, the college has actively practiced the strategy of new economic management, and built gold specialty, golden course and golden master around the tenets of  basic unit, core element and decisive force of talent training. The majors of finance, investment and financial engineering have been approved as national first-class professional construction points, the two courses of Securities Investment and Financial Asset Allocation and Optimization Management have been awarded the national offline first-class courses and virtual simulation first-class courses, and Securities Investment and its teaching team have been selected as the national curriculum ideological and political demonstration courses, teaching teams and famous teachers. The outstanding result of this teaching innovation competition is the result of our institute's continuous promotion of education and teaching reform and innovation, and it is also a concrete embodiment of adhering to the fundamental task of cultivating virtue and cultivating people, and implementing the requirements of people foremost, four returns and the development strategy of  AUFE new economic management.
